Richard Price has been named national sales director/Internet general manager at TelevisionWeek.
Mr. Price is adding the national sales director responsibilities to his current duties as Internet general manager. Larry Oliver, who had been national sales director, has left the company to join Tribune Co.
Mr. Price has been working in various capacities for TVWeek since 2003.
Before joining Crain Communications, Mr. Price was group publisher for Black Belt magazine.
“In a relatively brief period of time as the business manager of our online products, ad sales, under Richard’s direction, have more than doubled,” noted TelevisionWeek publisher and editorial director Chuck Ross. “Richard has proved himself to be a smart, knowledgeable manager. One of his gifts is his ability to understand our clients’ needs and to translate those needs to business ways they can use TelevisionWeek.”
Mr. Price, who will continue to be based in TelevisionWeek’s New York offices, said, “TelevisionWeek has been wonderful to represent because of the great value that we bring to our advertisers and readership. I look forward to continuing to build on the success of this great publication and working with the best team of publishing professionals in the business.”
Mr. Price can be reached at (212) 210-0286 or rprice@tvweek.com.
