Disney-ABC Names Brockman Exec VP, Global Communications

Disney-ABC Television Group has promoted Kevin Brockman to executive vice president of global communications.
“A consummate professional and a skilled communications executive, [Mr. Brockman] is simply the best of the best,” Disney-ABC Television Group President Anne Sweeney said in a statement Thursday. “He motivates his team by example, inspires through character, and understands what it takes to get the job done. The [group] is at the forefront of effective communications thanks to [his] leadership and relentless pursuit of excellence.”
Mr. Brockman joined ABC in 1997 as vice president of media relations for ABC Entertainment West Coast. Since then he also has served as senior VP of entertainment communications for ABC Television Network and Disney-ABC Television Group, where he most recently was senior VP of communications.
Before ABC, Mr. Brockman was part of UPN’s senior executive team, overseeing all corporate and entertainment communications when the network launched in January 1995.
