“By attracting the best talent in the business, we have built an A-list development and programming team that is taking History content to a whole new level,” History senior VP of development and programming David McKillop said. “With the addition of [Mr. Cabana, Mr. Hobbs and Mr. McCarroll, we are rounding out our team with a great diversity of expertise in a variety of history genres.”
Mr. Cabana most recently shot and directed “No Reservations” with Anthony Bourdain for the Travel Channel. He has also done projects with the Discovery Channel and PBS, among others.
Mr. Hobbs joins History after serving as Discovery Channel’s senior director of development and production. While there he was executive producer for the network’s “The Flight That Fought Back” and Shark Week’s “Ocean of Fear.”
Mr. McCarroll was most recently coordinating producer for the upcoming nonfiction motion picture “Crimes Against Nature.” He has also previously served as a producer for NBC News.
