Actor Dennis Hopper has joined the cast of Starz Entertainment’s first original drama series, “Crash,” premiering in October.
Based on the Oscar-winning film of the same name, the series will explore social tolerance in America through an ensemble of characters that intertwine and crash into each other.
Mr. Hopper will play Ben, a veteran music producer looking for his last big score. He is joined by Clare Carey as a frustrated Brentwood mom, Luis Chavez as a poor immigrant, Ross McCall as a joyriding cop, Jocko Sims as Ben’s driver, Brian Tee as a Korean-American emergency medical technician and Arlene Tur as a police officer.
The pilot, which is set to begin production in Albuquerque, N.M., with additional filming in Los Angeles, will be directed by Sanford Bookstaver (“Jericho,” “Bones,” “The OC”).
Glen Mazzara (“The Shield”), Paul Haggis, Bob Yari and Bobby Moresco are executive producers, along with co-executive producers Don Cheadle, Tom Nunan, Mark Harris, Jorg Westerkamp and Thomas Becker, all of whom worked on the original theatrical film production.
Thirteen episodes of the one-hour series, co-produced by Starz Entertainment and Lionsgate, have been ordered by the network.
Starz Media’s Anchor Bay Entertainment will hold exclusive U.S. distribution and home video rights, while Lionsgate will distribute the series internationally.

  1. If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

  2. Nice blog here! Also your website loads up fast! What host are you using? I wish my website loaded up as fast as yours lol
