One of the top local-broadcast media buyers, Kathy Crawford of MindShare, plans to retire at the end of June after more than 30 years in the industry, the agency said.
Ms. Crawford has been president of local broadcast since joining MindShare North America in 2003.
“It’s difficult to overstate the many contributions Kathy has made over the years, not only to our company but also to our entire business,” said MindShare North America CEO Scott Neslund. “Kathy is not only a valued colleague but a good friend. And while I understand and accept her desire to retire, her candor, wit and her unceasing professionalism will be deeply missed.”
In retirement, Ms. Crawford plans to continue working with the American Association of Advertising Agencies on Project Reinvention, a review and reorganization of local-broadcast buying processes.
