Bravo announced “Project Runway’s” fifth season will premiere July 16 at 9 p.m., a new earlier time slot. This marks the last season of “Runway” on Bravo, as the series is slated to move to Lifetime for season six.
The series returns with 16 new contestants competing week to week in different clothing design challenges with the hopes of showing in New York Fashion Week and claiming the winning title.
Host Heidi Klum, designer Michael Kors and fashion expert Nina Garcia will return for the sixth season. They will be joined by special guests and judges throughout its run.
“The fifth season has already proven to be the most drama-filled yet and the show hasn’t even premiered,” said Tim Gunn, Liz Claiborne Inc. chief creative officer, who also returns as the contestants’ mentor. “I’m on pins and needles to see what the designers will bring to the runway this season.”
“Project Runway” is produced by the Weinstein Co. and Miramax Films. Ms. Klum also serves as an executive producer.
