There will be plenty of familiar faces behind the scenes at the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards, as executive producer Ken Ehrlich announced Monday the return of Renato Basile as producer and Danette Herman as co-producer.
Mr. Basile has worked for Ken Ehrlich Productions since 1988 as producer, associate producer and executive in charge of production. His credits include 18 Grammy Awards, event specials including “Music Rising: The Super Dome Re-Opening with U2 and Green Day” and television specials for artists including Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Elton John, Bon Jovi and the Eagles.
Ms. Herman will be marking her 20th year as part of the Emmy production team. She recently completed the “80th Annual Academy Awards” telecast and her 30th year with the Kennedy Center Honors. She was nominated for an Emmy for “Christopher Reeve: A Celebration of Hope.”
“I am thrilled to have Ron and Danette back on our team for this year’s Emmy show, as their experience and creativity are invaluable,” said Ehrlich.
ABC will air the show live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 8 p.m. EDT.
