Turner Broadcasting named Jon Diament executive VP for Turner Sports ad sales and marketing.
Mr. Diament, a longtime Turner executive who most recently was senior VP and general sales manager for CNN ad sales and marketing, succeeds Trish Frohman.
Ms. Frohman decided to step back from her day-to-day role at Turner to spend more time with her family. She will continue to work with Turner on a variety of special projects, reporting directly to David Levy, president of Turner Broadcasting Sales and Turner Sports.
“Jon is a well-respected ad sales executive both inside and outside the company, and we are very excited to have him join the Turner Sports family,” said Mr. Levy in a statement. “During his tenure at CNN, Jon and his team created numerous initiatives for advertisers to reach viewers and users across multiple CNN platforms. I’m confident he will bring the same energy and smart business sense to his new leadership position with Turner Sports.”
