Speed has renewed the series “Livin’ the Low Life,” “SuperCars Exposed” and “Super Bikes!” Each series will air 13 new episodes starting in the first quarter of 2009.
“Livin’ the Low Life,” which is returning for its second season, is hosted by model Vida Guerra. The series takes viewers to different Mexican-American communities to explore how cars, lifestyle and fashion combined to form the lowrider scene.
“SuperCars Exposed” enters its fourth season with 2007 X Games Rally gold medalist Tanner Foust taking viewers inside the world of speed demons and their cutting-edge cars.
“Super Bikes!” explores young riders with host Jason Britton, a Hollywood stunt rider.
All three series will provide content through SpeedTV.com, VOD cable, iTunes video podcasts, mobile phones, cable broadband sites and viral distribution.
“Each of these series has its own unique style and personality, and taken as a group they speak to the wide diversity and interests of the automotive lifestyle and culture. As we’ve made the jump to full high-def production, these series have been instrumental in elevating the look and feel of our prime-time lineup; they really pop in HD,” Robert Ecker, Speed VP of programming and executive producer, said in a statement.
