Monday night’s season premieres of “The Closer” and “Saving Grace” earned TNT cable ratings highs for the year, with “Closer” drawing in 7.8 million viewers to become basic cable’s top telecast for the year-to-date in viewers, household ratings and adults 25 to 54.
“The Closer” scored a 5.2 household rating (6.2 coverage rating), according to Nielsen. The show also drew in 5.9 million households and 3.3 million viewers ages 25 to 54.
“Saving Grace” followed suit, averaging 5.2 million viewers and scoring the second-highest-rated season premiere telecast for the year-to-date among households in ad-supported cable. “Grace” raked a 3.5 household rating (4.1 coverage).
