Popular Wall Street Journal “Personal Technology” columnist Walt Mossberg will begin making weekly appearances on Fox Business Network this week.
Mr. Mossberg will make his debut at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, but his regularly scheduled appearances are going to be on Thursday mornings during the 11 a.m.-to-noon hour hosted by Dagen McDowell and Brian Sullivan. He will talk about his “Personal Technology” column and other technology-related news of the day, according to the announcement Tuesday.
It is the first regularly scheduled appearance by a Wall Street Journal personality on FBN since the News Corp.-owned cable network launched last year. News Corp. acquired the Journal and parent Dow Jones Co. last year but has been unable to maximize the acquisition because CNBC has an exclusive content partnership with the Journal.
“Walt is the most well-respected personal technology reporter in the industry, and his insights on new products not only influence consumer purchasing behavior but the technology sector as a whole. We are pleased to welcome him to FBN,” Kevin Magee, Fox News executive VP, said in the announcement.
