ABC Studios appointed Gary French and Paula Warner as the co-heads of production. They replace Barry Jossen, who moves on to head the studio’s creative unit.
Mr. French and Ms. Warner will oversee production and post-production for the studio’s 2008-09 season slate, which features 25 series including first-run syndication programs, pilots and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
Mr. French joined ABC Studios Production in 2005 as vice president. Before that, he worked as vice president of production for Universal Network Television and New World Entertainment. He also served for 10 years at Stephen J. Cannell Productions.
Ms. Warner has been with Walt Disney Television for 10 years, working her way up running post production at ABC Studios. She has freelanced for Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, Universal and Walt Disney in a production and post-production management role.
“Gary and Paula have been a huge part in creating a first class production operation. They’ve earned the right to lead us forward, and their promotions ensure the continuity of a creative culture that consistently delivers the highest quality production on television,” Mark Pedowitz, president of ABC Studios, said in a statement.
