“The Early Show” executive producer Zev Shalev has named Anthony Batson a senior producer on the CBS morning show, effective Sept. 22.
Mr. Batson, an award-winning veteran of eight years with “48 Hours Mystery,” will oversee taped “Early Show” segments and special series and projects.
Mr. Batson was senior producer of the 26-episode “Countdown to ‘Jericho’” online series produced as a companion to the post-apocalyptic CBS series by a crew from within “48 Hours” executive producer Susan Zirinsky’s team. He also was senior broadcast producer of “Return to Jericho” for the network’s prime-time lineup.
The Australian-born Batson joined “48 Hours” in 1996 after having been senior producer at the syndicated “America’s Most Wanted: Final Justice.” He was a co-producer of Fox Television’s “America’s Most Wanted” in 1989.
