Microsoft Invests in Online TV Tech Firm Move

Online television technology provider Move Networks has landed strategic funding from Microsoft, the companies announced today. The amount was not disclosed.
Microsoft has been working with Move to integrate Microsoft’s Silverlight platform into Move Networks’ technology. In addition, Move Networks’ customers can use Microsoft Silverlight to place branding, navigation and rich interactive elements in and around their Internet television video streams, the companies said.
Move is working with Microsoft to deliver high-definition streaming video online from the Democratic Convention in Denver this week at www.demconvention.com.
