Jacqui Gold Grunfeld has been promoted to senior vice president of business affairs at ABC Studios.
Ms. Grunfeld, a veteran ABC Studios executive, previously was vice president of the department. She will continue to report to Howard Davine, the executive VP of ABC Studios who announced her promotion.
In the new post, Ms. Grunfeld will oversee day-to-day operations of the studio’s business affairs team.
“Jacqui has incredibly strong relationships in town and possesses an extensive background as a business negotiator and attorney in the television industry that makes her ideally suited for her new leadership role in business affairs,” Mr. Davine said.
Ms. Grunfeld returned to the ABC fold in 2006 following a stint at Universal Media Studios (then known as NBC Universal Television).
She has a long history with ABC Studios President Mark Pedowitz: Her first major gig in the TV business was as production counsel for MGM Worldwide Television Group, where Mr. Pedowitz once headed business affairs.
