The Federal Communications Commission has released several TV PSAs and a long-form educational video to help viewers prepare for the digital television transition.
The 30- and 60-second PSAs, produced in both English and Spanish, have been distributed to 1,368 full-power commercial English broadcast stations and 100 Spanish broadcast stations.
The educational video is divided into four parts: “What Is DTV?,” “What You Need to Know,” “Watching DTV With a Converter Box” and “Summary.”

I wonder if it’s all the glory of DTV, not the reality. I’ll bet they don’t discuss All multipath issues, disaster issues, how to correct dtv loss, etc. I’m betting the bank they don’t.
I recently read on a blog from some guy named “Chas” that mentioned the FCC promos are “propaganda.” I’m starting to agree.
I also am speculating that the sale of the frequencies 2-4 and 50-69, after the conversion, are the first thing on the FCC’s mind, since revenues are down. Evidence of such is “wardrobe malfunction” and various radio and TV fines for infringements, due to upped amounts of inspections. TV taxes from cable and satellites, are another example of how FCC is trying to make $$$.
One other note….. did it mention on how congress approved the sale of these channels and frequencies? The one person, who I made a complaint to, I later found out may have been partly responsible for this DTV mess. How guilty does Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur feel? I wonder, since I hadn’t gotten a response back. Put that in a PSA!
