NBA TV will celebrate the launch of its 10th year covering the NBA with “Fan Night,” an interactive feature that gives viewers the chance to vote for the games they want to see nationally televised on Tuesday night. Voting will begin Oct. 28 for the game airing Nov. 4.
The network also will offer a free preview week Oct. 28-Nov. 4, during which distribution partners will be able to showcase NBA TV to their viewers.
Kicking off Nov. 1, the 2008-09 NBA TV season will include 96 live games, as well as coverage on NBA.com, NBA League Pass, NBADLeague.com and WNBA.com, which will be managed in partnership with Turner Sports for the first time.
“We’re proud to launch the new NBA season on NBA TV and NBA.com with the introduction of ‘Fan Night,’ a landmark multiplatform experience that takes fan interactivity to an unprecedented level,” Bryan Perez, senior VP and general manager of NBA Digital, said in a statement. “This is a great example of our commitment to increase fan involvement and take full advantage of all our platforms in an integrated manner. Fans voting online to consistently program a major national sports network pushes the boundaries of sports digital media.”
