NBC4 Tops Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards

NBC4 walked away with the most Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards at a ceremony held at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre on Sept. 6.
The station, which received eight awards, won for Investigative Reporting and Outstanding Hard News Reporting. It was followed by KCET with 6 awards and CBS2/KCAL9 with 5 awards. ABC7 and KTLA5 received 3 awards each.
FOX11 won in 4 categories, including Live Coverage of an Unscheduled News Event for the May Day March/Melee.
The Regularly Scheduled Daily News categories went to CBS2, KCAL9 and KTLA5. CBS2’s News at Eleven PM won the 35 Minute Format category, while KCAL9 picked up the Over 35 Minute Format award. The Daytime Newscast award went to KTLA5’s Morning Show.
The Los Angeles Area Governors Award was presented to the Los Angeles Dodgers for 50 years of broadcasting in Los Angeles and their contributions to charitable endeavors.
