The CW Settles Into ‘90210’

The CW’s “90210” received a full-season order, or 22 episodes, today.
The “Beverly Hills, 90210” update set several records during its premiere earlier in the month, scoring the highest rating in the network’s key women 18- to 34-year-old demographic with a 4.5 rating/12 share.
“The successful addition of ‘90210’ has taken The CW another step forward in building a cohesive schedule that defines this network as a destination for young women with shows that get our audience talking—and watching,” said Dawn Ostroff, The CW’s president of entertainment. 
“90210” marks a turn in The CW’s branding process, focusing its content toward women 18-34, alongside its flagship series “Gossip Girl” and “America’s Next Top Model” and freshman series “Privileged.”
“90210” is heavily DVRed. Results from “90210’s” first episode showed a 33% increase in women 18-34 once Live+7 data, which considers a week’s worth of DVR views, was factored in.
Its most recent episode on Tuesday aired with a 3.3/10 in women 18-34.
The show is produced by CBS Paramount Network Television. Executive producers are Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah and Rebecca Kirschner

  1. Just out of curiousity… How’s the show doing on other networks such as “GLOBAL”?
    I saw it last night on ch 22 (analog) Windsor, ON (CIII-22)… but wasn’t impressed…Maybe I’m not the right demo for it. Note that CIII came in much better than WKBD-DT (ch 14) in Detoit, just over the river.
