CW to Shrink Shows for Election Night Cut-Ins

“90210” and “Privileged” are shrinking for election night, as episodes that will air on Nov. 4 will be one minute shorter to allow election updates from CW affiliates.
Ninety percent of CW affiliates are planning to take advantage of the cut-in opportunity.
Viewers won’t be missing any cut scenes, as episode orders for Election Day were planned to be 60 seconds less than a standard episode.
Local affiliates will gain 30 seconds per half-hour for election coverage, on top of the standard 90 seconds per 30 minutes already allotted for station promotion.
