Syndication distribution company Debmar-Mercury promoted Lonnie Burstein, formerly senior vice president overseeing research and new programming, to executive VP of programming and production.
Mr. Burstein now has day-to-day oversight of several original shows on Debmar’s slate, including “The Wendy Williams Show” and “Trivial Pursuit: America Plays,” the company said Tuesday.
Mr. Burstein worked as a company consultant for Debmar-Mercury before his senior VP appointment in July 2006, where he researched regarding the syndication launches of “South Park” and “Family Feud.” Before that, he oversaw production of “The Sally Jessy Raphael Show,” working as a senior VP of first-run programming and development for Studios USA.
