NBC Delays ‘Momma’s Boys’ Premiere

Oct 8, 2008  •  Post A Comment

NBC is giving its “Momma’s Boys” some more time to get ready for their big prime-time debut.
The network said Wednesday it was moving the premiere of the Ryan Seacrest-produced reality show to Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 9 p.m. The shift comes just a few weeks after NBC announced an Oct. 29 debut for the series.
NBC gave no reason for the two-week delay, but network insiders said the network wanted to devote more time to promoting the launch. It was also afraid of competing for media attention with the Nov. 4 election.
NBC will continue airing “Deal or No Deal” in the 9 p.m. Wednesday timeslot until “Boys” premieres. Mr. Seacrest is producing “Boys” with Andrew Glassman.
