Net Holds Ground as Ad Growth Slows

Global ad spend across all mediums will shrink to a 4.3% annual growth rate for 2008 and 2009 due to the economic downturn, ZenithOptimedia said in a new forecast released today.
That’s a growth rate decline of more than one-third from Zenith’s June estimate of 6.7% growth in ad dollars across all mediums.
However, Internet advertising will remain steady at a 23% growth rate for the next two years, the one bright spot in the midst of the economic downturn, the firm said.
