HD programming picks for Oct. 9-15: “Kath and Kim,” “Canadian Bacon,” “Little Britain USA”
“Kath and Kim” (NBC) Thurs., Oct. 9, 8:30 p.m.: Adapted from an Australian sitcom of the same name, “Kath” follows a dysfunctional Florida mother and daughter, played by Molly Shannon and Selma Blair, as they bumbled their way through life and relationships.
“Canadian Bacon” (HDNet Movies) Friday, Oct. 10, 6:30 a.m.: A satire director by Michael Moore, anti-Canadian sentiment is drummed up by a U.S. president in order to justify invasion. John Candy stars.
“Little Britain USA” (HBO HD) Mon., Oct. 12, 10:30 p.m.: Spun-off from the BBC’s “Little Britain,” sketch comedy show “Little Britain USA” features Matt Lucas and Matt Williams playing a variety of eccentric characters, including a troublemaking teenaged girl named Vicki Pollard and the flamboyant assistant to the Prime Minister Sebastian Love.
