New TLC President Eileen O’Neill has hired fellow Planet Green veteran Amy Winter as senior VP of marketing-creative and operations.
Ms. Winter will be part of the replacement for marketing Executive VP Regina DiMartino, who left the network shortly after former president Angela Shapiro-Mathes was ousted by Discovery Communications CEO David Zaslav. Ms. O’Neill is expected to name another senior VP for marketing in the near future.
Ms. Winter, a former Turner Broadcasting executive, will be based in Atlanta, where she lives. Ms. O’Neill is in the process of deciding which of the network’s operations will be based in Los Angeles, where they were moved by Ms. Shapiro-Mathes, and which will be based at Discovery’s headquarters in Silver Spring, Md.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Amy to our senior management team,” Ms. O’Neill said in a statement. “Over the years she has proved to be invaluable to Discovery Communications, and we are confident her background and successful track record will lead our strategic growth.”
