CNN’s ‘American Morning’ Tops Cable News Wednesday Morning

CNN’s “American Morning” was cable news’ No. 1 morning show in total viewers on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
The program averaged 1.903 million total viewers, up 16% over Fox News Channel’s 1.639 million and 96% over MSNBC’s 972,000 in the same time period from 3 a.m. to noon. The program was No. 1 from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., garnering 2.124 million viewers.
“American Morning” also dominated the demos from 3 a.m. to noon with 912,000 viewers age 25-54 and 415,000 viewers age 18-34.
The program was on for a record nine hours as it covered news from Tuesday’s election.
