Internet advertising revenue grew 11% to nearly $5.9 billion in the third quarter, compared with the same period a year ago, the Interactive Advertising Bureau reported today.
The third-quarter figure also is 2% higher than the final for the second quarter of this year, suggesting that growth is slowing due to the economic conditions.
IAB does not project future growth, but did say the revenues for the first nine months of 2008 totaled $17.3 billion, up from $15.2 billion in the same period a year ago.
