Larence K. Oaks has joined Meredith Broadcasting Group as vice president of technology.
Mr. Oaks will oversee technical operations for Meredith’s 12 TV stations.
Mr. Oaks comes to Meredith from LIN TV, where he was the director of engineering, special projects. He has been in the broadcasting business for nearly 30 years, holding engineering positions at WIVB-TV in Buffalo, N.Y., WAND-TV in Decatur, Ill., and WISH-TV in Indianapolis.
“Larry possesses a great blend of extensive technical skills and industry knowledge that will help us become a more efficient and profitable business in this constantly changing industry,” Paul Karpowicz, president of Meredith Broadcasting Group, said in a statement.
