Major League Baseball’s MLB Network and the MLB Extra Innings Package will be offered on Verizon’s FiOS TV service under a multiyear deal announced today.
MLB Network, which debuts Jan. 1, will be available via FiOS TV’s Essentials and Extreme high-definition packages. FiOS also will offer MLB Network’s Extra Innings, a package that offers subscribers 80 out-of-market games per week.
“MLB Network will offer baseball fans an insider’s perspective on the sport that has never been seen more before,” said Tony Petitti, MLB Network president-CEO, in a statement. “This partnership further expands on our ability to bring the ultimate coverage of the national pastime to fans on a 24/7 basis.”
