Liberty Mutual, Subaru Return as ‘Antiques’ Sponsors

Liberty Mutual and Subaru will continue as national sponsors of PBS’ “Antiques Roadshow” through the 2009 and 2010 seasons, WGBH Boston’s Sponsorship Group for Public Television announced.
Sponsors will receive two on-air spots during each broadcast, direct-marketing opportunities at taping events, participation at six taping events and added exposure though video-on-demand episodes and the “Antiques Roadshow” Web site.
“With an average of over 9 million viewers each week, ‘Antiques Roadshow’ is the highest draw on public television, rivaling the audience of some of network television’s highest-rated shows and surpassing the audience of cable,” said Suzanne Zellner, VP of corporate development at WGBH.  “It represents a terrific opportunity for sponsors to engage with a passionate and engaged audience on-air, in person and online.”
She said there is only one remaining sponsorship, with a 30- second on-air spot, for the coming season.
The locations for the 2009 tour, which will be “Antiques Roadshow’s” 13th season, will be announced in January.

  8. If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

  9. Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
