NBC Universal Television Distribution has renewed “The Martha Stewart Show,” starring the doyenne of crafting, for a fifth season.
“Martha” currently is cleared in more than 60% of the country, including NBC owned-and-operated stations in top markets New York, (WNBC) and Los Angeles (KNBC). The hourlong talker also has been sold on Fox, Hearst, Scripps and LIN stations for 2009.
“‘The Martha Stewart Show’ is one of the premier brands in all of daytime television,” said Barry Wallach, president of NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. “The daily how-to series continues to entertain and inspire millions of viewers each week and attract a very desirable audience composition that both local broadcast stations and advertisers desire.”
“Martha” posted a 0.7 household rating during the November sweeps, declining 36% from the previous sweeps period. The show is produced by MSLO Productions and Mark Burnett Productions.
