Speed Signs ‘Wind Tunnel’ Host Despain to New Deal

Speed and motor sports broadcaster Dave Despain have signed a new two-year deal.
Mr. Despain will stay on as host of the channel’s “Wind Tunnel” through 2010. The program returns Feb. 15. The “Wind Tunnel” site on Speedtv.com will be updated with streaming video, “Dave Take 2” and best-of clips, editorial content and additional stats.
“Very few people can step from one motor sports discipline to another with the ease and proficiency that Dave manages on a weekly basis,” Hunter Nickell, president of Speed, said in a statement. “Dave has worked hard to become one of the true icons in racing and Speed is privileged to have him continue as part of our team.”
Responding to the economic challenges facing motor sports, Mr. Despain said, “This will be a tough year for a lot of people in the racing world. We’re not going to hide from that reality, but we’ll also do our best to find something good to talk about and to remind ourselves why we fell in love with racing in the first place.”

  1. Wow!, this was a real quality posting. In theory I’d like to write in this way also – taking time and true effort to create a good posting… but what can one say… I keep putting it off and do not seem to achieve a good deal. abigail

  2. I am extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a nice blog like this one these days.. 🙂

  6. I like this information given and it has given me some sort of desire to have success for some reason, so keep up the good work.

  7. City of Melbourne is variety 1. The depth of their redesign was astounding, and its applications throughout all media is both refreshing and practical. I’m not sure if AOL meets the same level of usefulness. Confident, it will be a step more than the earlier layout, but just how much a lot more so? And also to what conclude? Effectively, that is certainly my two cents. Peace.
