‘Today’ Looks Back With Prime-Time Special

NBC’s “Today” show will take a look back at the year with a prime-time special airing Dec. 22 at 8 p.m.
“2008: Today Looks Back, A Holiday Special” will highlight memorable moments, newsmakers, top five news stories, the most moving events and top five people of the past year. The program will also feature bloopers from “Today.”
The special will be hosted by Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Al Roker and Ann Curry, with appearances from “Today’s” Natalie Morales, Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb, Lester Holt, Amy Robach, Jenna Wolfe, Willard Scott and Gene Shalit.

  1. Question: At the very end of the primetime special, a song was being played in the background as the credits rolled. It was by a male artist or group. It sounded like the Goo Goo Dolls, but I’m quite sure it wasn’t them. Does anyone know the name of the group and/or the song title???
