Video: NBCU’s Argentino Says Reduce Risks in 2009

Television syndicators can minimize risks in 2009 by communicating with advertising partners about development and testing new shows, according to Bo Argentino, senior VP for advertising sales at NBC Universal Television Distribution.
Heading into an uncertain economic climate for 2009, reducing risks is the name of the game, Ms. Argentino said at TelevisionWeek’s Syndication Roundtable.
“What we try to do is respond to what our advertisers are looking for,” she said. “If they’re buying a category of show and it’s working for them, that’s the kind of show we’ll continue to develop.”
