Web Studio MyDamnChannel Puts Suhimi in Charge of Ad Strategy

Web studio MyDamnChannel named Suhaila Suhimi to the newly created post of VP of advertising strategy and partnerships. She’ll report to the company’s CEO, Rob Barnett, and develop branded entertainment campaigns and ad partnerships for the online video destination.
She most recently was director of brand strategy at NBC Universal Digital Studio, which has become known for developing integrated brand campaigns across Web shows.
The new hire occurs amid layoffs at other Web studios, among them Revision3 and Mania TV.
MyDamnChannel has been successful in inking deals with advertisers, recently signing Southern Comfort, Puma, Lionsgate, HBO and Universal Pictures.
MyDamnChannel has won multiple Webby Awards. Its signature series, “You Suck at Photoshop,” has earned more than 16 million views in the last year and was named by Time magazine as one of the top 10 TV episodes of 2008 in a list that included “Lost,” “Mad Men” and “30 Rock.”
