Attendance at the just-completed Consumer Electronics Show could be down by as much as 22% compared with last year.
The Consumer Electronics Association released its attendance projection Sunday, predicting the number of attendees will be more than 110,000. If the final number stays close to the projection, that would be a dip in attendance by about 22% from last year’s final figure of 141,150.
However, CEA points out that its initial prediction for 2008 attendance was 130,000, much lower than its final audited attendance figure of 141,150.
At the 2009 event, more than 2,700 companies exhibited in Las Vegas, showcasing about 20,000 new technology products.

  1. After trying to charge 100$ for December sign up, what did the idiots expect? Keep trying CEA, after last years weekday scheduling, and this years pay to see formula, you’ll get this thing sabotaged pretty soon.
