DGA Announces TV Nominees

Paris Barclay earned nominations for both drama and comedy series today when the Directors Guild of America announced its nominees for directorial achievement in television.
In the dramatic series category, the nominees are Dan Attias for “The Wire,” Mr. Barclay for “In Treatment,” Jack Bender for “Lost,” Alan Taylor for “Mad Men” and Matthew Weiner for “Mad Men.”
For comedy series, Mr. Barclay (“Weeds”) joins Julian Farino for “Entourage,” Paul Feig for “The Office,” Beth McCarthy-Miller for “30 Rock” and Don Scardino for “30 Rock.”
In the category of movies for television or miniseries, the nominees are Bob Balaban for “Bernard and Doris,” Tom Hooper for “John Adams,” Kenny Leon for “A Raisin in the Sun,” Jay Roach for “Recount” and Mikael Salomon for “The Andromeda Strain.”
The 61st Annual DGA Awards will be handed out at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles on Jan. 31.
