Jan 14, 2009  •  Post A Comment

Several former Discovery Networks International executives have formed International Media & Entertainment Partners, a consultancy that will advise media clients on expanding internationally.
The new venture is headed by Dawn McCall, ex-president of Discovery Communication’s international division. Former members of Discovery’s executive committee Barbara Bennett and Pandit Wright also are involved in the venture.
“International Media & Entertainment Partners is dedicated to the principle of providing the actionable support our clients need to advance their media business in the international marketplace,” said Ms. McCall, the consultancy’s managing director. “As executives who have built a large business, we can provide the planning, advice and know-how that will actually deliver results.”
Also part of International Media & Entertainment are Susan Ritchie, Ogla Edridge, Mathew Tombers, Laura Frankel, Deborah Kent, Martie Kretchmar, David Spindler, Dina Suggs and Ron Benschoter.
Since David Zaslav was named CEO of Discovery Communications in 2006, he has been restructuring the company, particularly its international division, and a number of senior executives have left.
