Move Says Use of Its Streaming Technology Doubled in 2008

Internet television technology provider Move Networks said it doubled the number of Internet users watching online video with its streaming technology in 2008.
The company announced today that it reached 55 million unique viewers in 2008, up from 25 million in 2007. Those 55 million viewers watched 180 million hours of programming, with 100 million of those hours in hi-def.
Move Networks said it streams 60% of the most popular television shows and 11 of the top 20 primetime TV shows, including “Lost,” “Gossip Girl,” “Ugly Betty” and “Fringe.”
