Riding a wave of higher ratings, MTV says it has picked up a second season of “The City” and ordered two more episodes of “Daddy’s Girls” and 28 new episodes of “Made.”
MTV also greenlit a new series, “Teen Cribs,” after a “Teen Cribs” special doubled the average rating in its Saturday timeslot.
For the first three weeks of the first quarter, MTV said, its total-day ratings are up 12% from its fourth-quarter average.
During its key 10 p.m. timeslot, ratings are up 13% for the first three weeks of January compared with December’s levels.
MTV is getting set to launch an extensive slate of original series next month. A new Sunday night lineup will include “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory,” “The CollegeHumor Show,” “Nitro Circus” and “How’s Your News?”
The network also will be premiering “The Girls of Hedsor Hall” and “T.I.’s Road to Redemption.”
