The National Association of Television Program Executives will present two content panels at the MacWorld Conference & Expo in San Francisco this week.
The panels, which mark NATPE’s first foray into presenting panels at MacWorld, will offer first looks at new interactive mobile video technologies.
“NATPE at MacWorld: TV, Mobile TV and the iPhone” will take place Wednesday at 11 a.m. with panel producer and moderator Arthur Greenwald. Panelists include Kanishka Agarwal, Nielsen Mobile VP of mobile media; YouTube Senior Director of Business Development Kelly Liang; Ted Malone, Sling Media VP of product marketing; WRAL-TV News Over Wireless General Manager Sam Matheny; and Cyriac Roeding, entrepreneur-in-residence at Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers.
Mr. Greenwald also will produce and moderate the panel “So You Want to Sell Your Idea to Television?” Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., featuring speakers Gannon Hall, Kyte chief marketing officer; Mr. Matheny of WRAL-TV; Tom Smuts, co-founder of United Hollywood’s media group; and TelevisionWeek Contributing Writer Daisy Whitney.
“NATPE is dedicated to celebrating and monetizing great professional video content. MacWorld is a wonderful platform for us to highlight how content and distribution can best work together to serve consumer needs,” NATPE President-CEO Rick Feldman said in a statement.
NATPE’s panels at MacWorld, which is looking at an uncertain future without Apple CEO Steve Jobs, precede the start of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this Thursday.
The NATPE 2009 Market & Conference will be held at the end of the month.
