Ken Lowe, Scripps Interactive board chairman, president and CEO, and WPP Chief Executive Martin Sorrell will be honored by the Paley Center for Media at its annual gala in New York.
Proceeds from the Feb. 24 gala, at Cipriani 42nd in Manhattan, will go to the Paley Center and its public and industry programs, which aim to increase understanding of the media and its significance.
“Ken Lowe and Sir Martin Sorrell are innovative leaders, highly respected for the energy, focus, and direction they provide at the helm of businesses with far-reaching assets and impact,” Pat Mitchell, Paley Center president-CEO, said in a statement. “Ken quite literally changed the cable landscape with the launch of the successful Scripps Networks, and Sir Martin created the world’s largest advertising conglomerate, which sets the pace for the global marketplace.”
The Paley Center recently honored Showtime and Carl Reiner at its Los Angeles gala on Dec. 11.
