Baseball fan Bob Costas has joined the lineup for the MLB Network.
Mr. Costas will continue his duties at NBC Sports, including hosting NFL and Olympics coverage, but MLB Network will be his exclusive cable outlet, the channel said Tuesday.
On MLB Network, Mr. Costas will host specials and contribute to game telecasts.
He’s jumping in with plans to interview L.A. Dodger manager and recent author Joe Torre Tuesday for a Thursday night telecast.
When the channel launched on Jan 1, it showed Don Larsen’s perfect game from the 1956 World Series. Interspersed during the game was an interview Mr. Costas did with Mr. Larsen and catcher Yogi Berra.
