Starz Entertainment has acquired first-run rights to four titles from Summit Entertainment: “Penelope,” “Sex Drive,” “Never Back Down” and “Fly Me to the Moon.”
The 3-D animated children’s film “Moon” will be shown on Starz channels and on-demand in 3-D.
Starz will make the films available on its 16 linear channels, HD, Starz on Demand and broadband video download service Starz Play.
“Each of these films from Summit will appeal to different age groups and will definitely serve us well with cross-over allure,” Nancy Silverstone, vice president of program acquisitions for Starz, said in a statement. “The variety of these four films will afford us the opportunity to program them on many of our 16 linear channels.”
