‘Breaking Bad’ Shows Growth in Season-Two Premiere

The second-season premiere of AMC’s original series “Breaking Bad” drew 1.7 million viewers, up 40% from last year’s season average.
The show generated a 36% increase among adults 18 to 49 and a 50% increase among men 18 to 49, according to Fast National ratings from Nielsen.
AMC has been targeting younger male viewers with its original programming.
The show did a 1.2 household rating, up 33% from 0.9 last season.
“Breaking Bad” features Bryan Cranston, who won the best actor Emmy in September for best actor in a drama series, as a high school chemistry teacher who discovers he’s dying from cancer and decides to manufacture and sell crystal meth in order to provide for his family.
