“Wife Swap” producer RDF USA continues to expand, hiring British showrunner Claire O’Donohoe to help lead development.
Claire O’Donohoe
Ms. O’Donohoe has produced more than a dozen reality shows in the U.K., including “Big Brother,” “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Fame Academy.” She will become executive VP of RDF USA, reporting to Chris Coelen, the company’s chief executive officer.
“Claire has established a stellar reputation in the U.K. and has already begun to make her mark in the U.S.,” Mr. Coelen said. “She adds another cannon to our already loaded creative arsenal.”
Ms. O’Donohoe’s U.S. credits include “American Gladiators” and “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover.”
Mr. Coelen has added two more names to the RDF executive roster, hiring Sunny Foscue as director of casting and Gerald Massimei as lead producer of development. The three new executives will be based in Santa Monica.
RDF now boasts a nonscripted development team of 15. Mr. Coelen has indicated he plans to continue the company’s move into scripted programming and is in the process of hiring someone to lead those efforts.
Since launching three years ago, RDF USA has sold or produced more than two dozen series, including “Secret Millionaire,” “Don’t Forget the Lyrics” and the upcoming “Hitched or Ditched” (with Mike Fleiss).
