Dish Network has partnered with History and Ensequence to launch History Interactive.
The 24/7 interactive TV (iTV) experience offers factoids, questions, games and galleries related to History’s programming.
The iTV experience, which also allows viewers to set their DVRs to record History shows, will be incorporated into the network’s new series “Battles BC.” The show, premiering today, showcases ancient conflicts in “300”-like graphic style. Each episode will test viewers’ knowledge with a synchronized game, as well as providing biographies of historical experts and production photos through the use of the Dish Network remote control.
“Dish Network continues to enhance its iTV platform, and the addition of History Interactive and ‘Battles BC’ will provide new and engaging experiences for our subscribers,” Michael Kelly, executive vice president for Dish Network, said in a statement. “As interactive television applications and sponsorship opportunities merge, we will also find new ways to deliver more targeted results for our clients.”
