TVB ePort has surpassed the $200 million mark in order volume.
TVB ePort facilitates eBusiness transactions between stations, agencies and rep firms by acting as an electronic bridge.
More than 20,000 orders were sent by 97 agencies/advertisers to 845 TV stations and national rep firms in the last year via the service.
Horizon Media, one of the first agencies to use ePort, has expanded its usage, while MediaBank, Arbriton, One Domain and Harris EAS continue to develop their ePort interfaces.
Smaller advertisers and agencies without buy systems can use the Web-based ePort Connect.
“This is an important milestone on the way to our goal of developing local broadcast television’s equivalent of the interstate highway system,” Abby Auerbach, executive vice president of TVB, said in a statement. “More agencies are coming on board every week. We want every buyer in the country to connect electronically with every television station and/or rep firm and make our medium the easiest to buy.”
