Charter Communications is adding NBC primetime programs to its on-demand service, effective immediately.
Charter Digital customers can watch shows such as “30 Rock,” “Heroes,” “The Office” and “Friday Night Lights” for free within 12 hours of their original broadcast.
Some NBC primetime programs are available on the VOD platform with fast-forward disabled.
Charter expects the programs to be available to all customers with on-demand capabilities by the end of this month.
“We know our customers lead busy lives, so the convenience and ease of NBC on Charter on Demand adds even more value to our video service,” Maria Rothschild, senior director of video product management, said in a statement. “This free addition to our on-demand programming is part of Charter’s ongoing commitment to bring our customers what they want in television, when they want it and how they want it.”

  1. yes, but will they be in HD? probably not.

  2. Now if only Comcast could get NBC shows on demand (and in HD)…. of course, I’d like to see all the major broadcast networks’ shows offered this way.
