Next New Networks Taps Garcia as SVP of Sales

Denise Garcia has joined Next New Networks as senior vice president of sales.
Ms. Garcia will oversee the online TV company’s sales, advertising solutions and ad operations teams, while advancing its integrated advertising offerings.
She comes to Next New Networks from Vibrant Media, where she was senior VP of corporate strategy and research. She also worked at A.G. Edwards & Sons as VP of Internet equity research and W.R. Hambrecht+Co. as an Internet analyst.
Additionally, co-founder Jed Simmons has been named executive VP of corporate development and strategic partnerships. He will be responsible for broadening the company’s distribution network.
“Next New Networks is a true innovator in the online media industry, and Denise will be a tremendous creative asset in working with and attracting top brands,” Lance Podell, CEO of Next New Networks, said in a statement. “As more and more advertisers capitalize on the enormous opportunities present in online video, Denise’s extensive experience and strategic know-how will lead our sales team in approaching the evolving video advertising market through a fresh, innovative lens.”

  1. The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
